New build of a Georgian Home on a historic estate in Southern Tipperary, Ireland. The client wanted a traditional styled home that would act as the manor house to the 500-acre farm. The house was designed using traditional materials and proportions of the Georgian style with all modern day conveniences. The Plan consists of a formal drawing room, formal dining room with every day conveniences of living room, study and family eating areas. The house has five bedrooms with fire places and en suite bathrooms.
The house has underfloor heating throughout with 10 fire places. The style of the rooms ranges from fabric batten silk walls to hand painted Chinese wall paper. Antiques and artwork were procured from all over the world and facilitates the display of these treasures in galleries and long grand hallways. A traditional Portland stone staircase is the main feature in the entrance. Each step hand carved locally by true craftsman. In addition, the 17th century stables were also renovated along with the original farmhouse and staff quarters.
