An Arabic inspired restaurant has formed part of one of the finest hotel restaurant in Jumeirah offering since the building was completed in 2003. After 11 years of success, the brief is to extend the building to create additional covers internally and refurbish the interior and restaurant concept.
The aim of the concept was to create an all-day dining destination with a freshly cooked global buffet animated with several key action stations which will provide a vivid example of the live cooking and product preparation integrated directly into the overall front of house design. The building extension is to maintain the vernacular of the existing hotel to give the impression that the finished product was as originally designed. AAID are appointed as the lead consultant for the technical team who were to deliver the restaurant concept through to delivery. This included interrogation of the existing space, all of its services and equipment as well coordination of the proposed scheme. In the role of lead consultant, AAID developed the architecture of the new extension, the resulting design was a driving force in the development of the interior concept. AAID also worked with the client team and the interior designers in the development of the concept to ensure the scheme met the clients expectations and was technically feasible with the resources that were available.
